“There was once Piers asked me to draw a portrait of him. He said I’ve done it before and should attempt it again in hopes to invoke memories. I told him I could barely write with my hands anymore but he told me to try. When I finished it, he asked why did I drew him looking so forlorn. I told him because every time he looks at me, he displays such painful emotions that they left me questioning who I really was, at least to him. Yet even though they told me I was suffering PTSD, and that I should take my time to try and remember about the past, Piers somehow always has his way of guiding me home. Of course he didn’t buy my words the first time, but then I told him these eyes aren’t forlorn and he blinked at me in disbelief. So I explained, ‘These are the eyes that I dream about every day for the past six months. They’re probably the only reason to the remains of my semblance of reality.’
Then he scoffs and laughs and turns away. I think he didn’t buy my crap. Until he snatched the portrait and never gave it back ever again.”
